The Engineers Week Display and celebration of the Engineers Week in Central Pennsylvania has been organized by the Harrisburg Chapter of the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers (PSPE) in the past years. John F. Bradshaw, P.E., Construction Manager at the Michael Bakers Corporation has dedicated much of his personal time in the organization for the celebration of the Engineers Week in the past years. He has played an important role in the formation of the Central Pennsylvania Engineers Week Council (CPEWC) in 1999. The CPEWC was established with the Constitution and By-Laws, the Standard Operating Procedures and the Organization Chart finally drafted with the help of many engineers of PSPE. Many professional and technical Societies in Central Pennsylvania have been invited to join since 1999. A one-time initiation fee of $100.00 was assessed for each Member Organization joining the Council.  John Bradshaw, P.E. served as the First Council Chair and Todd Stager, P.E. served as Vice Chair in 1999-2000 fiscal year (April 1, 1999 to March 31, 2000). The Member Organizations consist of the professional and technical societies who are interested in participation of the annual planning and celebration of the Engineers Week in February. In the Fall of 2000, IES and IEEE have officially joined the CPEWC. In April 2001, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) has also joined the Council.
